Celtic team news v Midtjylland revealed as Vasilis Barkas dropped to the bench

Ange Postecoglou has named his Celtic team to take on Midtjylland in Denmark, with Vasilis Barkas dropping out for Scott Bain after his costly error last week.

The Hoops will run out in Herring looking to finish the job after their tempestuous 1-1 draw at Celtic Park last week.

A strong start to the game was threatening to blow the Danes away with Liel Abada causing serious problems down the right hand side.

The new Israeli winger fired in the opener but Nir Bitton's red card derailed their momentum and Abada was sacrificed for young defender Dane Murray.

Bitton's suspension means Murray comes back in here alongside Stephen Welsh, with Carl Starfelt unable to be registered for this round.

But Abada comes in from the start once more and he's joined by Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie in the forward line.

Anthony Ralston starts at right-back in the absence of another more established option there and Greg Taylor takes up position on the other flank.

And Vasilis Barkas - whose error allowed Midtjylland back into the game in Glasgow - has been replaced by Bain.

Celtic starting XI : Bain; Ralston, Welsh, Murray, Taylor; Soro, McGregor, Turnbull; Abada, Edouard, Christie
