Celtic team news v Midtjylland revealed as Ange Postecoglou puts faith in new boy Liel Abada

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has named an interesting side for the crucial qualifier against Midtjylland.

The Champions League campaign begins tonight and it's safe to say the Australian would have liked a few more new faces in the squad.

Aside from that, he has had his fair share of injury problems to contend with ahead of his first competitive game at Celtic Park.

Leigh Griffiths has been offered a second chance at the club with Postecoglou it will be his final opportunity in the green and white Hoops.

Howeve, he only makes the bench with Odsonne Edouard preferred ahead of the Scotland cap and Albian Ajeti to lead the line for Celtic.

Vasilis Barkas has been handed the gloves for the the key first leg ahead of Scott Bain as the stopper looks for redemption after a horror debut campaign.

It's a makeshift back four with Anthony Ralston at right back and Nir Bitton alongside Stephen Welsh at centre back, with the club facing a waiting game to get Carl Starflet over the line. Greg Taylor slots in at left-back.

Ismailia Soro and Callum McGregor shake off injury issues, with David Turnbull, Ryan Christie and new boy Liel Abada making up an attack-minded midfield five.
