Celtic team news v Dundee revealed as Odsonne Edouard is benched again and there's a surprise midfield return

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has picked his side to take on Dundee at home in the Scottish Premiership.

It's a huge day in the east end of Glasgow in several ways with the match prefaced by a fan protest against the board due to take place outside the Parkhead ground.

But in more uplifting news Celtic can make up for dropping points on opening day against Hearts and get level with rivals Rangers after they lost away to Dundee United on Saturday.

Added to that is the fact 24,500 fans will attend - the most since the pandemic began in this country - in the final limited capacity match before a full house against Jablonec on Thursday.

Joe Hart started the first leg over in the Czech Republic and he's between the sticks again three days later.

In defence it's a centre-back pairing of Carl Starfelt and Stephen Welsh. Greg Taylor is picked at left-back with Anthony Ralston, who has turned in some improved recent performances of late, on the right.

In the midfield three captain Callum McGregor starts with David Turnbull and Tom Rogic, who makes a surprising return to the starting fold under his old Australia manager.

And in attack Odsonne Edouard is benched again in favour of Kyogo Furuhashi with Ryan Christie and Liel Abada either side.

Celtic starting XI: Hart, Taylor, Welsh, Starfelt, Ralston, McGregor, Rogic, Turnbull, Abada, Furuhashi, Christie

Subs: Bain, Bitton, Ajeti, Soro, Edouard, Forrest, Montgomery
