Celtic team news as Odsonne Edouard misses out but Liel Abada starts against AZ in Europa League showdown

Striker Odsonne Edouard is out of the Celtic team to face AZ - but Liel Abada is back from injury.

Ange Postecoglou has named the players tasked with securing a first leg advantage in tonight's Europa League play-off.

Celtic have marched into this tie with four victories on the spin and 16 goals scored.

Confidence will no doubt be high after the previous round's thrashing of FK Jablonec, with the Parkhead side running out 7-2 winners on aggregate.

Postecoglou's team then dispatched Hearts to reach the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final at the weekend.

And the manager has tinkered with the side that beat the Jambos 3-2 with Abada coming in for Edouard, who drops to the bench.

That presumably pushes Kyogo Furuhashi back to a central striking role in which he has excelled over the past few weeks.

Otherwise, it's more of the same from Postecoglou as Callum McGregor, Tom Rogic and David Turnbull continue in midfield.

On the bench, there's no place for Leigh Griffiths.

Celtic starting XI: Hart, Taylor, Welsh, Starfelt, Ralston, Rogic, McGregor, Turnbull, Forrest, Abada, Kyogo

Subs: Barkas, Bain, Bitton, Ajeti, Soro, McCarthy, Edouard, Urhoghide, Shaw, Robertson, Montgomery
