Celtic target wonderkid pairing as Neil Lennon eyes 10 in a row bid

Celtic are interested in bringing Reading winger Michael Olise and Hearts kid Aaron Hickey to Parkhead.

Neil Lennon has already started planning his playing squad for next season after winning the club's ninth consecutive title earlier this week.

Now the manager is looking for ample reinforcements to help Celtic reach the fabled 10 In A Row in 2020/21.

And teenagers Olise and Hickey, according to the Scottish Daily Mail, are both on Lennon's radar.

Olise, 18, has been capped for France at youth level and regularly featured for the Championship club before the coronavirus shutdown.

The winger spent time in the academies of Chelsea and Manchester City before his Madejski Stadium breakthrough.

Meanwhile Hickey, who was at Celtic before making the switch to Hearts' youth setup, is no stranger to the Parkhead side.

The left-back is likely to be available for far less than the previous asking price of £1.5million after the Gorgie club's relegation from the Scottish Premiership on Monday.

Jambos chairman Ann Budge is set to table a reconstruction proposal but it is unlikely to succeed.

It's also thought that Lennon is aiming to extend the loan deals of Southampton pair Fraser Forster and Mohamed Elyounoussi.
