Brondby boss Thomas Norgaard has confirmed Celtic target Benjamin Tahirovic could be set to leave the club this week.
The Hoops have been linked with a move for the Bosnian international midfielder throughout the summer and reportedly made an official enquiry for the 23-year-old.
However, they are one of several European clubs interested in Tahirovic, who was a part of the Bosnian squad for the World Cup.
Tahirovic was left out of Brondby's squad for their weekend game against Viborg and manager Norgaard revealed it was because he wants to leave imminently.
Norgaard said: "He wasn't in the squad because he is actively trying to complete a transfer.
"He is a talented footballer who is potentially looking to see if there are clubs in the market who want to buy him.
"There has been a conversation between us and an acceptance that he is looking into it.
"However, if nothing happens, then he will of course be back and included as part of the squad moving forward."
