Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson says David Turnbull is one of the best players Scotland has ever produced, and says he's worth every penny of the £3m Celtic are believed to be ready to spend on him.
The 21-year-old is a target for the Scottish champions, as confirmed by Hoops boss Neil Lennon yesterday.
Robinson says selling players on is just the model that allows Motherwell to survive, but says he doesn't know if the player will move to Parkhead or not.
The Fir Park gaffer, who says Turnbull didn't train today ahead of the Europa League first-round qualifier with Glentoran tomorrow, said: "I don't get involved in the money side of things, but he was valued at £3m the last time and he's certainly a £3m player in my eyes.
"As a player to everyone, not just to me, he's a top, top talent, one of the best talents I believe Scotland will have produced, and no matter where he is he will be that talent.
"I can't sing his praises highly enough, in terms of his mentality.

"Make no mistake, David Turnbull is a top class footballer, but that's the model of the club, that's how we survive. We develop players, we've developed them consistently over three and a half years, we sell players every single year.
"I'm delighted for the players that move on, it's tribute to the staff here and the work that goes in right from a young age all the way through to the first team.
"That's where we get our buzz from, and we're delighted if it happens. If it doesn't, then we've got a very talented boy."
