Celtic supporters unveil classy Mikael Lustig tribute banner at Rennes friendly

Mikael Lustig was honoured by Celtic fans with a brilliant banner tribute at Saturday's friendly clash with Rennes.

The stalwart - who played a part in all eight of the club's successive titles after signing in 2011 - moved on at the end of his contract last month, signing for Belgian side Gent.

But his contribution to the cause has not been forgotten by Hoops fans with the Green Brigade producing the display with a pic of the right-back and the words " Lustig you're the one, thank you".

Those were the lyrics to the supporters' Lustig song.

The 32-year-old won eight league titles, four Scottish Cups and four League Cups in his spell at Celtic under Neil Lennon , Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers.

A larger-than-life character, the Sweden international was a fans' favourite and famously pinched a policeman's hat to celebrate a goal against Rangers at Ibrox two seasons ago.

But he moved on after failing to agree terms on a new contract in the summer. Lustig had been looking for a three-year deal but was only offered a one-year extension.
