Thanks to the generosity of BSC Young Boys, he and his family travelled to Bern from Elderslie over the weekend to take in the club's match against Yverdon in the Swiss Super League, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

As well as being given VIP treatment, Joshua was allowed to walk onto the pitch with BSC Young Boys' captain, Loris Benito, pre-match:

Celtic fans' will recognise Benito's name; it was he who netted an own goal to send the Parkhead club into the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time in over a decade

In an incredible act of generosity, BSC Young Boys covered all travel expenses for Joshua and his family for the trip and even sent the youngster a shirt and ball as a special gift.

"It was all a wonderful experience for Joshua in Bern, and overall an outstanding gesture from a truly wonderful football club," said Joshua's father, Kevin, on X.

This heartwarming story is a beautiful reminder that football goes way beyond the pitch and that the friendships bonded in the stands can last a lifetime.
