Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard shares Black Lives Matter message

Odsonne Édouard has expressed his solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

The 22-year-old Celtic star has joined numerous footballers in sharing his support for the cause following the death of George Floyd.

Scotland captain Andy Robertson shared an image of Liverpool players taking a knee at Anfield and added the caption "Unity is strength #BlackLivesMatter".

Chelsea's Scottish youngster Billy Gilmour took a knee with his Chelsea team-mates and said: "Enough is enough. We are all HUMANS. Together we are stronger. #BlackLivesMatter."

French striker Édouard shared an image of a black screen with the message "Black Lives Matter #BlackoutTuesday."

His countryman Paul Pogba uploaded a post to Instagram saying: "During the past few days I have thought a lot about how to express my feelings about what happened in Minneapolis.

"I felt anger, pity, hatred, indignation, pain, sadness.

"Sadness for George and for all black people who suffer from racism every day!"

Pogba's Manchester United team-mate Marcus Rashford said: "People are hurting and people need answers.

"Black lives matter.

"Black culture matters.

"Black communities matter.

"We matter.

"#justiceforahmaudarbery

#justiceforbreonnataylor."
