Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard isn't bothered about 10-in-a-row says Kris Boyd

Kris Boyd says Odsonne Edouard isn't bothered about 10-in-a-row.

Celtic can secure a historic tenth successive title this season, but former Rangers striker Boyd believes that's insufficient motivation for Edouard to remain in Glasgow.

The 22-year-old has scored 65 goals in 127 appearances for Celtic, scoring a hat-trick in last weekend's 5-1 win over Hamilton Accies at Celtic Park.

There has been significant speculation linking Edouard with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Boyd said: "When Moussa Dembele was at Celtic it was the exact same thing.

"To think that these guys are bothered about 10-in-a-row or anything like that is nonsense.

"The foreigners will come in, they'll play their game. We've all played with them, it might be that later they look back and say 'I loved my time with Celtic' but for that to be their main motivation? It's not.

"They want to go to the biggest club they possibly can, get the most money they possibly can, and Odsonne Edouard is no different.

"If there is something that comes in the Celtic board might have a problem on their hands.

"To think that Odsonne Edouard is going to stay around Scottish football for years and years - it ain't gonna happen."
