Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths delivers stinging response as Hearts fan attempts to troll former Hibs star

Celtic star Leigh Griffiths has delivered the perfect response after a Hearts fan attempted to troll the striker over Sunday's Edinburgh derby result.

The Jambos supporter tried to poke fun at the Scotland star after his former side Hibs lost 2-1 to their city rivals.

Griffiths was in attendance at Parkhead despite not being included in Neil Lennon's squad for his side's win over Kilmarnock.

The 29-year-old posed for a picture with a supporter outside the stadium and a Hearts fan reacted to the photo on Twitter, saying: "His team got f***** today though."

Griffiths replied: "Pretty sure my team are sitting top of the league Gerry. Don't start getting excited after one win now."

Griff, who was born in the capital, played for Hibs on loan from Wolves before making his move to Celtic . The forward scored 31 goals in 66 appearances for the Easter Road side.

Craig Levein's men picked up their first three points of the season and leapfrogged Hibs in the table up to 8th position.

Pressure on the Hearts boss has eased, while Paul Heckingbottom's side lie in 11th place after a dismal start to the campaign.

Stevie Mallan put Hibs ahead with a long range stunner before strikes from Uche Ikpeazu and Aaron Hickey sealed a dramatic comeback.
