Albian Ajeti has been handed a two-match ban after being charged with simulation in Tuesday night's 4-0 win for Celtic over Kilmarnock.
The forward won a penalty which Odsonne Edouard smashed home to make it 2-0 in the 53rd minute of their Premiership showdown.
The incident was looked at by a panel of ex-referees who have charged the attacker with a breach of Scottish FA disciplinary rule 201 which governs "acts of simulation".
If Celtic choose to appeal the decision, a hearing will be held on Monday.
The regulation states "no player shall cause a match official to make an incorrect decision and/or support an error of judgment on the part of a match official by an act of simulation which results in that player's team obtaining a substantial advantage."
Meanwhile, Celtic captain Scott Brown has avoided any retrospective action following an incident with Killie midfielder Aaron Tshibola in the same match.
