Celtic strike deal with Korona Kielce for best young talent to head to Parkhead

Celtic bosses have struck an agreement with Polish club Korona Kielce, which they hope will see them land the cream of their top young talent.

Korona are in mid-table in the Polish Ekstraklasa and have ambitions to be one of the top clubs in the country after bouncing back from a corruption scandal ten years ago.

And they have reached an agreement with the Scottish champions for a partnership after Celtic invited two of their coaches, Rafal Kwiecien and Artur Wierzba, to the recent Rangers game.

Kwiecien said: "There are two camps set up in the summer in Staszow and Zielonka. The best young footballers will get a trial with Celtic and train with them.

"We were well received by Celtic and met a number of their coaches when we were in Glasgow.

"Celtic have had many connections with Polish football over the years - players like Dariusz Dziekanowski, Dariusz Wdowczyk, Maciej Zurawski, Paweł Brozek, Lukasz Zaluska and Artur Boruc.

"Many of them were idols for the Celtic fans.

"We enjoyed the atmosphere at the Old Firm game and hope this can be the start of a long, successful partnership.

"And hopefully, some of our youngsters can be the next Polish stars to make an impact at Celtic."
