Celtic stars mock James Forrest with brutal but brilliant put down over biography

Celtic's decision to bring out a James Forrest biography charting the one-club man's career at Parkhead seems to have got the winger's team mates talking.

The 28-year-old will be the subject of a new book entitled 'Homegrown Hero'.

But there's little chance of Forrest letting the attention go to his head. Not in the unforgiving Celtic dressing room.

Fraser Forster has revealed how a number of Neil Lennon 's stars have ensured the Scotland star's feet remain firmly on the ground.

He told Celtic View: "There's a little bit of banter in the changing room about the book.

"A few lads have asked if it's a colouring book!

"It'll be interesting to see what's in it. He's been fantastic for this club and has achieved so much so it'll be good to hear his take on everything.

"It's the case with every player that you don't know them really if you're only really hearing from them in interviews."

Forrest has been an integral part of Celtic's charge to 8 in a row which includes three successive trebles.

He is widely regarded as one of the best talents of recent years to emerge from the club's academy.

The book will see Forrest tell the story of his journey from joining the club's academy at the age of nine to the current day where he is one of Lennon's most important players.

And Forster admits the fans' favourite is fully deserving of his moment in the spotlight.

"The team mates in the changing room see what he's really like," the goalkeeper said.

"It's not that different to how he comes across on camera because he's a humble guy and so laid back.

"He's very professional, works hard and doesn't let anything faze him. He's very calm and level-headed and is always there for a chat so he's a great guy to be around."
