Celtic are "set" to open contract talks with Anthony Ralston as the defender enters the final year of his current deal.
The 27-year-old right-back remains understudy to Alistair Johnston but continues to play a key squad role under the Scottish champions, featuring regularly across domestic competitions last season.
According to the Daily Record, discussions over an extension are expected to begin soon, with the club keen to secure Ralston’s long-term future in Glasgow’s east end.

Ralston has just returned from international duty after being included in Scotland’s World Cup squad under former boss Steve Clarke, making substitute appearances against Morocco and Brazil in the United States.
He made 35 appearances in all competitions last term, including 20 in the Premiership, as Celtic secured a league and Scottish Cup double.
This news comes as Celtic have announced the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on a one-year deal, following his spell at the club last season.
The ex-Liverpool and Arsenal midfielder scored two goals, including a late strike on his debut versus Livingston back in February.
