Celtic star reveals Liverpool transfer 'dream' as Mohamed Salah worry dismissed

Celtic forward Liel Abada has revealed it is his 'dream' to one day play for Liverpool.

The 20-year-old joined the Scottish Premiership side this summer from Maccabi Petah Tikva, putting pen to paper on a five-year contract at the club.

Abada has made a promising start to his Celtic career with three goals and three assists to his name in his first eight league appearances for the Hoops, but has his sights set on a move to Anfield.

The Israeli international recognises he must continue to 'prove' himself before this becomes a possibility as he conceded that Mohamed Salah's starting spot remains a certainty for the time being.

“My dream was and remains to play in England, in one of the teams in the Premier League," he told sport5.co.il.

“The biggest dream is Liverpool, but I have to keep working hard here to prove myself.”

"Should Mo Salah worry? From me? No! He is a super player," joked Abada.

Should a move to Anfield present itself in the future, the Celtic star would likely feel at home on matchdays.

Abada has made clear that it's 'hard to explain' how hearing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' before every home match makes him feel - something that many Liverpool players of the past and present would be able to resonate with.

“Anyone who hasn’t been to Celtic Park does not understand what an atmosphere is," he said.

"You do not understand what a shiver it gives. My song too, and when they shout You’ll Never Walk Alone. It’s hard for me to even explain in words."
