France have called up Olivier Ntcham for the European U21s Championship.
There is, however, no place for Odsonne Edouard.
But Ntcham’s former Celtic team-mate Moussa Dembele has been selected for this summer’s tournament.
The Espoirs face England, Romania and Croatia in San Marino and Italy in June in what is being billed as the group of death.
Group C means there could be a Celtic v Rangers battle with Nikola Katic in Croatia’s squad.
Ntcham, 23, has already made 15 appearances for his country at U21 level and faces major competition to add to his caps, with the likes of Houssem Aouar of Lyon also in midfield.
Dembele, meanwhile, is a near certain starter in Sylvain Ripoll’s attack.
The Lyon striker, who is interesting Manchester United, has made 19 appearances for Espoirs, scoring 11 goals.
He is likely to be joined by clubmate Martin Terrier upfront.
