The Scottish Football Writers have named their nominees for the player of the year awards.
Three of the four stars on the shortlist for the PFA Scotland prize have also made the running for this gong – with James Forrest , Callum McGregor and Alfredo Morelos nominated.
But Scottish journalists have included Rangers keeper Allan McGregor instead of Ibrox team-mate Ryan Kent, with the on-loan Liverpool winger missing out.
Celtic star Forrest won the players’ player of the year prize and could make it a double. But he’ll have to fight off competition from Hoops team-mate McGregor as well as two rivals from the other side of the city.
The Scottish Football Writers have also listed the nominees for the young player of the year prize. Again, PFA Scotland YPOTY winner Kent misses out.
Aberdeen midfielder Lewis Ferguson is nominated once again, though, along with Motherwell duo Jake Hastie and David Turnbull. Making up the quartet is Kilmarnock’s Greg Taylor.
Finally, Steve Clarke also has a chance to make it a double after the PFA Scotland manager of the year was included on the shortlist for the SFW’s award, too.

Joining the Killie boss being nominated is Livingston’s Gary Holt, Arbroath gaffer Dick Campbell and Scotland women’s team manager Shelley Kerr.
The winners will be revealed in daily and Sunday newspapers in the week between May 12 and May 19.
And the recipients will be awarded their prizes at the 55th annual dinner sponsored by William Hill on Sunday May 19 at the DoubleTree By Hilton hotel in Glasgow.
