Celtic star expected to make Hoops return against Motherwell

Celtic winger Mikey Johnston could make his return for the Hoops against Motherwell at Fir Park tomorrow.

Johnston has only played 11 league games over the course of this season and last term after battles with an array of injury concerns.

Hoops manager Ange Postecoglou has not had troubles to seek on the injury front, with James Forrest, Christopher Jullien and Josip Juranovic all set to miss Saturday's trip to Fir Park.

However, Motherwell may have to deal with 22-year-old Johnston, who is likely to return to the fold.

All Celtic players who were on international duty - like star striker Kyogo Furuhashi - have returned to Parkhead injury-free.

Graham Alexander's side are in a confident mood ahead of Celtic's visit to North Lanarkshire for the first time this season.

Sitting fourth in the Premiership and two places above Saturday's opponents, Motherwell have a largely healthy squad of players to pick from.

The only concern is over Robbie Crawford as the midfielder has damaged ankle ligaments. He is expected to miss at least a month's worth of action.
