David Turnbull has been nominated for the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award by his fellow professionals.
The 21 year-old has been a shining light for Celtic since joining from Motherwell in August in a reported £3million pound deal.
After taking time to settle in at the Parkhead club, Turnbull has demonstrated his creative abilities by contributing eight goals and seven assists across all competitions.
The Motherwell academy graduate also grabbed one goal for the Fir Park side before departing for Celtic in a move which collapsed the previous summer.
Turnbull faces strong competition from Hibernian's Josh Doig, Rangers' Nathan Patterson and St Johnstone's Ali McCann for the prestigious award.
Hibs star Doig picked up the football writers' young player of the year award last week and he will be favourite to win another award after enjoying a brilliant breakthrough season at the Easter Road side.
Northern Ireland international McCann has excelled for a St Johnstone side that won the League Cup, secured a top six finish and still have a Scottish Cup final to play.
Rangers youngster Patterson has emerged as a talented back-up for captain James Tavernier and the 19 year-old has impressed in Europe, although he's only made 14 appearances all season.
