Celtic star Christopher Jullien's first words since Covid setback as defender sends message to fans

Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has thanked fans for their support following his positive Covid test.

The French defender came down with the virus following the club's controversial trip to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp.

13 first team players were forced to self-isolate, as well as Neil Lennon and John Kennedy, as a result.

Jullien can't catch a break, currently sidelined for at least four months with a knee injury as he was stretchered off after colliding with the post against Dundee United.

But the centre-half appreciates all the supportive messages from his fans.

He said on Instagram: "Thank you everybody for the well wishes.

"I'm feeling much better. Take care of yourself and your families."

Celtic's raft of first team players should return for Wednesday's trip to Livingston following two disappointing draws.

The Parkhead side had to field a weakeaned team against Hibs and against Livi on Saturday.
