Celtic star Christopher Jullien echoes Virgil van Dijk as he raves about Neil Lennon's qualities

Celtic star man Christopher Jullien has paid a glowing tribute to boss Neil Lennon ahead of Thursday's pivotal Europa League showdown with Copenhagen.

The £7m defender has enjoyed an impressive debut season and is targeting a place in the last 16 after last week's 1-1 draw.

And Jullien has pinpointed Lennon's key influence just days after Virgil van Dijk lauded his former manager's abilities.

The Liverpool star - regarded as the world's best defender - waxed lyrical about Lennon and now Jullien has followed suit.

He said: "I'm impressed with everything with the gaffer.

"Not just as a manager but also a person. He's helped my confidence and he's perfect for the club and for me."

Celtic are hot favourites to get past the Danes but the former Toulouse stopper insists the game is still in the balance and he's called on the club's support to once again turn it up on a European night.

He added: "It's huge that the return leg is here at Celtic Park. The atmosphere is unbelievable and I'm sure the fans tomorrow will create a 12th man for us on the pitch.

"It would be good to make more history here at Celtic. For me, it's the biggest game of my career so far. Playing in Europe was a goal of mine for a long time. To go through to the next stage would be unbelievable.

"The game will be difficult. They'll be confident and for us, we just need to keep our focus."
