James Forrest will be given until the last possible minute to prove his Celtic fitness ahead of Sunday afternoon's Scottish Cup derby.
The winger hobbled off against Livingston last weekend with manager John Kennedy insisting his substitution in the second half was a precautionary measure.
But still doubts remain over whether he'll be fit enough to take on the champions in the fourth round, having just come back from a seven-month layoff with an ankle problem.
Kennedy said: "We’re just going to monitor James as the week goes on. He’s the type of player we’ll give right to the last minute.
“We’ll get the treatment in to him and see how it goes."
Christopher Jullien remains a long-term absentee in defence while Mohamed Elyounoussi's flexibility in playing on the left or alongside Odsonne Edouard in attack means he'll be a crucial option, regardless of the final decision on Forrest.
