Celtic squad revealed as Leigh Griffiths misses Dundee United test

Celtic will be without Leigh Griffiths as they return to league action against Dundee United on Saturday evening.

The champions saw games against St Mirren and Aberdeen postponed after left-back Boli Bolingoli broke coronavirus quarantine rules.

The defender seems certain to be left out for the trip to Tannadice, and manager Neil Lennon has a couple of enforced absences to contend with.

Griffiths will be out for around two weeks with a calf injury, while Mikey Johnston remains sidelined with a knee problem.

The hosts have been plagued by injuries on their return to the Premiership, but manager Micky Mellon is hoping to have some of his big names back.

The Dundee United boss refused to name names but expects to welcome back a couple of his injured stars ahead of hosting the champions on Saturday afternoon but refused to name names.

Lawrence Shankland (ankle), Jamie Robson (head knock), Liam Smith (knock) and Paul McMullan (hernia) have all sat out action in recent weeks.
