Celtic squad revealed as Kieran Tierney available for potential title clincher at Aberdeen

Kieran Tierney is in contention for Celtic 's Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday.

The left-back will have an operation on a double hernia at the end of the domestic season and will be managed until then.

Neil Lennon confirmed the 21-year-old would be out of Scotland’s Euro 2020 double-header with Cyprus and Belgium in June. But he is in line to play in the potential title clincher at Pittodrie on Saturday.

The caretaker gaffer said: “Kieran’s training, so he’ll be in contention for the weekend.

“He saw the specialist last week and got cleared but he’s in a lot of pain. It’s a case of managing him on a daily basis.

PFA Manager of the Year nominees revealed as only one Premiership boss makes the cut

“When the season finishes and he gets the surgery the better it’ll be for him going forward.

“He’ll be out for around three to four weeks following the surgery so hopefully he would be back in time for the European qualifiers.

“It’s a double hernia, so that needs fixing. It’s something he can manage but it’s not ideal. But he wants to train and play and get us over the line.”

Ryan Christie (face), Jack Hendry, Vakoun Bayo, Dedryck Boyata (all hamstring), Craig Gordon, Eboue Kouassi and Daniel Arzani (all knee) are out, while Leigh Griffiths is working his way back from personal issues.
