Celtic squad revealed as Giorgos Giakoumakis could make first start in crucial Aberdeen showdown

Summer signing Giorgos Giakoumakis could be in line for his first start as Celtic face a crucial trip to Aberdeen.

The Greek striker was top-scorer in the Eredivisie last season, and joined after a personal intervention from manager Ange Postecoglou.

However, his Celtic career has been hampered by niggling injuries and the 26-year-old only made his debut on Thursday against Bayer Leverkusen.

With Giakoumakis now fit and firing though he could be given his first start at Pittodrie as the Hoops look to arrest a run of one win in six.

Josip Juranovic remains out with a hamstring problem, while this match will come too soon for James Forrest and Mikey Johnston.

Postecoglou hopes to have Forrest and Christopher Jullien back after the international break, but Greg Taylor and Karamoko Dembele face a longer spell on the sidelines.

However, both Kyogo Furuhashi and Callum McGregor started against Leverkusen after their fitness issues and will be involved.
