Ange Postecoglou reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of Celtic's visit to Hibs.
But the Celtic manager revealed Greg Taylor could be out until 2022.
The left-back has undergone surgery on a shoulder injury and Postecoglou says the nature of the problem means the club must be careful with his rehabilitation.
Postecoglou was pleased to get game-time into Josip Juranovic - who looks likely to continue at left-back - and Giorgos Giakoumakis following injury-troubled starts to life in Glasgow.
He's also welcoming an increased depth of options in his forward line, having enjoyed the luxury of resting Liel Abada for the weekend win over St Johnstone.
Giakoumakis started up front and bagged his first Celtic goal and now Postecoglou will decide whether to stick with the Greek forward and keep Kyogo Furuhashi in the wide areas.
Given Giakoumakis' lack of football, it seems more likely Kyogo will return to a central striking role and Abada could come back in, with James Forrest not yet ready to return.
Either way, it's a welcome problem for the Celtic manager given his squad was stripped to the bare bones for much of his team's early-season fixtures.
For Hibs, meanwhile, Ryan Porteous is set to return from suspension but Darren McGregor is banned following a weekend dismissal against Aberdeen.
The injured Kyle Magennis and Daniel Mackay will also miss Wednesday night's Premiership clash at Easter Road.
