Celtic skipper Scott Brown set to go under SFA microscope for Rangers celebrations

Celtic captain Scott Brown’s celebrations in front of the Rangers fans are set go under the SFA microscope.

The governing body are also looking into several other incidents from the Old Firm fall-out, including Ryan Kent lashing out at the Hoops midfielder.

There was an ugly melee at the end as Brown taunted the Rangers supporters, sparking a response from Halliday that led to several on-field scuffles.

The SFA have confirmed that Halliday and Rangers sub keeper Wes Foderingham, along with Celtic’s Mikael Lustig were all cautioned after the game.

That was Halliday’s second of the day and means he now faces an automatic one-match suspension and will miss tomorrow night’s game with Hearts.

And if any action is taken against Brown it would come down to a disciplinary hearing rather than a fast-track notice of complaint, thus clearing him to play in tomorrow night’s match against St Mirren in Paisley.

Morelos will be automatically suspended for the Hearts and Motherwell games and will also miss out on the first two games after the split.

The post-split fixtures have still to be finalised but there is a chance he could end up missing the final Old Firm game of the season at Ibrox.

Morelos got a two-match ban for the elbow and another two games because he has two other domestic red cards this season, both against Aberdeen.

He has been sent off five times this season, three times against the Dons although the first one from the opening day of the season
was rescinded.
