Celtic skipper Scott Brown sends message of support to fans during coronavirus pandemic

Celtic skipper Scott Brown has urged fans to stay safe during the coronavirus crisis.

The SPFL and SFA announced there will be no football until at least the end of April due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

And the Celtic captain has sent his best wishes to the Parkhead faithful, asking them to everything they can to stay out of harm's way during this trying time.

He said: "Hi everybody, I wanted to send this message on behalf of everybody and my teammates to give you our support and best wishes.

"We know it is worrying and difficult times for everyone and we want you to know we are thinking of all of our fans.

"You have supported us all season brilliantly, all of the lads.

"Everyone at the club is now right behind you. Thanks for everything you have given us, your health is everything. So we want you and your fans to do everything you can to stay safe.

"We know this is a really difficult time for so many people and we won't see for so long.

"But we want you to know that we will be back and we will be seeing you soon and we are looking forward to it.

"Look after yourself and lots of love from everybody at Celtic, we are right behind you. Take care."
