Celtic skipper Scott Brown escapes SFA ban for celebrations against Rangers

Scott Brown has escaped a ban from the SFA for his celebrations against Rangers in the Old Firm derby at the end of last month.

The Celtic captain was cited by the governing body for his actions at full-time after the Hoops ran out 2-1 winners in a heated encounter between the two rivals.

But the midfielder has avoided a two-match suspension and will be available to face Kilmarnock tomorrow afternoon and Aberdeen next weekend.

Brown's hearing was brought forward following a request from the Parkhead club so there was no question he was going to be available for the final Glasgow derby of the season on May 12th.

This news will come as a huge boost for Neil Lennon's side as they look to clinch the Premiership crown in the coming weeks.
