Celtic set to make offer for Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet

Celtic are preparing to make an offer for Hibernian's Kevin Nisbet as Ange Postecoglou targets a new striker.

The Cambuslang man is highly-regarded by the Glasgow side and they are preparing to make an offer for the 24-year-old.

Birmingham City had a bid in excess of £3million turned down for Nisbet during the January window and a fee of around £4million would be required to convince Jack Ross to sell his star man according to the Daily Mail.

Nisbet was a revelation at the Easter Road side last season, scoring 18 goals in the Scottish Premiership as he earned a Scotland call-up.

Nisbet was a substitute during Scotland's 0-0 draw against England at Wembley (SNS Group)

The former St Brides' Primary School pupil scored his first international goal against Netherlands in a friendly this summer and he featured in all three of Scotland's games at EURO 2020.

Celtic handed a new deal to Leigh Griffiths yesterday but Odsonne Edouard is likely to leave this summer and Nisbet - a former Celtic academy star - could be tasked with replacing the Frenchman.
