Caledonian Braves hope to have lined up a pre-season friendly with a Celtic XI on July 6, as part of their preparations for the Lowland League season.
The Alliance Park side are gearing up for their Lowland League opener at Berwick Rangers on July 17, and Waddell is happy with how things are going.
He said: "We play Albion Rovers on Tuesday night, I think they're putting a mixed team out, and then we've got a team-building day on the Saturday.
"It's not confirmed yet, but we play Celtic on the Tuesday night of the next week, and then St Mirren, who will probably have a reserve squad out on Saturday
"It's all looking good."
Braves continued their preparation with a 1-1 draw against Clyde at Broadwood this afternoon, as striker Marc Kelly netted for the visitors.
Though Waddell says Braves looked leggy in the last third of the game, he was happy with what he saw.

He said: "I'm happy with my squad so far, I've just been slowly taking my time with it and making sure I get the right sort of people in.
"I'm not looking too far ahead into it, I'm focusing on the fitness levels and pre-season games at the moment, and as it creeps a little bit closer I'll start to think about Berwick, and the rest of those games.
"But it's looking good - we had a game today, we played Clyde at Broadwood.
"We were meant to play on Tuesday but the new Covid regulations came out and it was just a wee bit quick for the team we were meant to play, Glasgow United, who used to be Shettleston Juniors.
"But we played Clyde at Broadwood, drew 1-1, and did very well.
"I thought in the first half we were very good, in the last 30 minutes of the second half we huffed and puffed a wee bit, I thought we looked a bit leggy, but that was to be expected.
"I was really happy with the guys today and we progress on."
