Celtic set for Europa League boost as Dan Petrescu keen on Dynamo Moscow move

Dan Petrescu could be set to quit Celtic 's Europa League opponents Cluj to take charge of Dynamo Moscow again.

The former Chelsea star was in the Parkhead dug-out last week as the Romanians crashed to a 2-0 defeat against Celtic in the second round of fixtures.

But he's on the shortlist to replace Dmitri Khokhlov, who resigned after Dynamo slumped to 15th in the Russian league and Petrescu's agent has admitted the manager would be extremely interested in a return to Dynamo, where he was manager between 2012-2014.

His agent, Nicolae Pirnau, said: "I can say for sure Dan had an enjoyable time when he was manager of Dynamo the last time and always said he had unfinished business there.

"So there is a possibility he could leave his contract with Cluj to go to Dynamo Moscow.

"I don't think any coach in Romanian football would say no to such an offer from a club as big as Dynamo.

"The Russian league is a good one too."

Petrescu has also been in charge of Kuban Krasnodar in Russia twice.
