Celtic sent Europa League warning as cocky Copenhagen star relishes clash with 'beatable' rivals

Viktor Fischer has already downed Celtic before and he's convinced he can do it again in the Europa League next year.

The Hoops will square off with Copenhagen in the last 32 next month , with the first leg in Denmark before a deciding tie in Glasgow.

And Celtic will be up against Danish international Fischer, who played for Ajax for five years before moving to Middlesbrough for £5 million before heading back to his homeland.

Fischer has twice played against Neil Lennon 's side and scored against them in a 2-2 draw in Amsterdam four years ago before they went to Parkhead and won 2-1 - a result that eliminated Celtic from the group stage of the Europa League.

And he's convinced history will repeat itself against Odsonne Edouard and Co.

He said: "I think it was the perfect draw for us. We have drawn against a big team like Celtic which means we will get a full house at home.

"And of course it will be amazing to play at Celtic Park. It's one of the most incredible grounds I have played at in my career and we won that night too with Ajax.

"I believe they are an opponent who are certainly beatable and we must aim to put them out over the two legs.

"Of course we have our winter break before we play them, but for me that is a good thing.

"To be able to take a month off and recharge the body is a great advantage for us.

"We will return full of energy and we are aiming for a big run in the Europa League."
