Celtic's summer transfer dynamic could change after Ange Postecoglou Tottenham exit claims pundit

Ange Postecoglou's exit from Celtic to Tottenham could have an impact on transfer plans.

That's the verdict of Rangers hero and pundit Alan Hutton who believes any groundwork done in the build up behind the scenes could change with incoming players thinking they would be playing under the guidance of the 57-year-old. His eye for a player has been lauded with nearly all of his captures for the Hoops proving to be big hits.

He's now left the club for a new challenge in the English Premier League after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal. Tim Sherwood has described the move as his 'acid test' and that he will face the 'ultimate test' in the arguably the best league in world football. During his time in charge at Parkhead, the Aussie boss was always once to try and get business in the market done early as shown over the years with a number of arrivals.

But after his move to North London, that could change things with Hutton expressing the importance of the Scottish champions getting the man they want to take over the top job in the door as soon as possible.

He told Football Insider : “They have done an amazing job so far with recruitment as we have seen, the likes of Jota, Hatate, [Tomoki] Iwata, there have been so many that have come in and done ever so well.

“You would like to think that the groundwork has already been done before Ange left. Whether that makes a difference, the players obviously thought they were coming in to play for a certain manager so maybe that will change the dynamic of it.

“I think it is important that the new manager is in as soon as possible. You need a fast start and then if the new manager does not want those signings and wants his own, he will need time to organise that.

“It is really important that there is a fast turnaround to get a new manager in.“
