Celtic are looking to end an incredible 59 year hoodoo when they take on Real Betis on Thursday night.
The Hoops travel to Spain to take on the La Liga outfit but they’ve never won a match in the country.
The clash with Betis is set to be their 20th match on Spanish soil but they’ve lost 16 of those, and drew three.
The elusive win is yet to come but Ange Postecoglou will be hoping his side can get off to a flier in the Europa League.
That record also includes the UEFA Cup Final in 2003 when Jose Mourinho’s Porto came out on top in a 3-2 win.
Celtic have lost each of their last seven ties in Spain by an aggregate score of 20-2 with their last draw coming against Barcelona in 2004.
That was their second draw in a year against the Spanish giants with a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid in the European Cup Winners Cup in 1985 their only other in Spain.
