Celtic's Ryan Christie closing in on €5M move to Monaco according to French media

Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie is reportedly on the verge of completing a summer move to Monaco.

The Scotland international has just 12 months remaining on his contract at Parkhead and will now concentrate on sorting his club future following the end of his participation in Euro 2020.

The 26-year-old has already been linked with a move to the English Premier League, with the likes of Southampton and even Arsenal, but it appears he could be heading to Monte Carlo instead.

French media outlet JaLoMe-Info claims Monaco have submitted a bid worth €5M to the Celtic hierarchy - and Christie is keen on reviving his career in Ligue 1.

Christie is recovering, like most of his club team-mates, from a pretty disastrous season for the Hoops, and he managed just one appearance at this summer's Euros, in Scotland's opening defeat to the Czech Republic.

Christie developed into a key player under Brendan Rodgers at Celtic Park, but regressed badly last season, first under Neil Lennon and then under interim boss John Kennedy.
