Celtic's Green Brigade ultras celebrate 15th anniversary with George Square pyro display

Celtic fan group the Green Brigade celebrated their 15th anniversary by letting off fireworks in George Square early on Saturday morning.

The group have been a mainstay at Celtic Park over that time and have clashed with the club on occasion over displays and incidents within their section.

And they decided to take to George Square to celebrate reaching 15 years as a group with a pyro display in the late hours of Friday night into Saturday morning.

The group shared a video of them setting off the fireworks and flares in the city centre at around midnight with many confused about what was going on.

The video shows large groups of them gathering in George Square before spelling out Green Brigade in a formation.

They then all light up their flares to show off their Green Brigade lineup with the Celtic fans loving seeing it.

More fireworks are then set off as they go to leave the area with supporters then dispersing from the area.

It comes just two months after Rangers fan group the Union Bears held a massive pyro display along the River Clyde.

The Ibrox supporters were celebrating their side lifting the Premiership title and produced the display.

The Green Brigade have been heavily involved in protests against the Celtic board in recent months with regular shows of frustration at how the club was performing.

They were due to hold a demonstration outside Celtic Park today ahead of their game against Preston but decided to cancel earlier this week.
