Celtic's Dubai trip blasted by Clyde star

Clyde midfielder Ally Love has questioned why it's the lower league clubs suffering the most from the SFA's decision to suspend all football below the Championship.

The Bully Wee's League One season has been suspended for a minimum of three weeks and players must also stop training.

Although Celtic were handed permission to travel to Dubai and technically broke no rules, the suspension of lower league football frustrated Love.

The 29 year-old tweeted: "Go to dubai for training and pints across the other side of the world. (Sound) and keep playing when you are back. BUT.. lets cancel all the other leagues."

Various other figures in lower league football have expressed similar frustrations to Love.

Although the decision is understandable, there is a feeling that smaller clubs have been unfairly punished yet again and remain an afterthought.
