Celtic's David Turnbull missing Rangers clash likely as he's 'ruled out for two months' through injury

Celtic star David Turnbull looks set to miss a string of big matches - including February's Old Firm clash with Rangers - due to injury.

According to The Scotsman, the midfielder will be sidelined for two months after a hamstring injury forced him out of Celtic's Premier Sports Cup final victory over Hibs early in the first half.

Wishaw star Turnbull will continue his recovery during the Premiership's winter break.

But the Hoops are set to return to action against Hibs in the league on January 17 and that will be the first of many games the ex-Motherwell man will miss in the new year.

Celtic are set to host Rangers on February 2 so he would be a certainty to miss the second derby of the season.

And with his injury expected to rule him out until the start of March, he would miss both legs of their Europa Conference League clash with Bodø/Glimt on February 17 and 24, respectively.
