Leigh Griffiths
The striker's effective cameos have yet to yield a regular starting berth but Griffiths is certainly a man with a point to prove.
He's been pilloried for fitness issues over recent months but the striker showed up early for Scotland duty in a signal of intent that he's not just making up the numbers in Steve Clarke's squad.
If Griffiths extends that commitment to domestic matters - and there's no reason to suggest he won't - then he could make it difficult for Lennon, especially if Odsonne Edouard remains below-par in the coming weeks.
The 30-year-old has grown used to being told he'll never hit the heights again and, by this stage, it feels like a narrative that will only spur him on.
Scott Brown
The captain found himself in the firing line in the early weeks of the season as a section of supporters called for a scaling back of his minutes on the pitch.
For Brown, however, all this is nothing new.
The 35-year-old is another who's been written off countless times, perhaps more than any Celtic player in recent memory. And yet, he always seems to find an answer.
While it's true the club must prepare for life after his departure, and that will involve reduced playing time, his influence will remain invaluable in this most historic of seasons.
Shane Duffy
The big defender has been battered from pillar to post from pundits and fans alike following a decidedly dodgy start to his Celtic career.
A loan switch from Brighton hasn't yet panned out as expected given the widespread predictions that Duffy would be a leading light in Celtic's potential Ten In A Row season.
Duffy was dropped for the win over Motherwell following a rough night against Sparta Prague but it's too early to write him off just yet.
From the Amex to Celtic Park is a major adjustment in expectation and scrutiny, therefore Duffy deserves time to turn things around.
If he does, he could yet become the key figure Lennon expected him to be.
David Turnbull
The midfielder was playing the waiting game long before his move to Celtic was over signed off.
A topsy-turvy switch from Motherwell in summer 2019 was infamously scuppered by an underlying injury which kept Turnbull out for the majority of last season. He finally got his move back in August but appearances have been thin on the ground.
What we have seen from the 21-year-old, however, is an injection of drive, energy and, of course, talent when he has been afforded time on the pitch.
In a long, treacherous season, such hunger off the bench primes Turnbull for an important role in what already looks set to be a tense title-run, even if it is mainly as a sub.
James Forrest
Of course, few have ever written off Forrest's value to Celtic but news of his need for ankle surgery has put the winger out of sight, out of mind until the New Year.
Recovery from such procedures doesn't always prove straightforward but the prospect of having the ever-reliable Forrest fresh, fit and firing for the title run-in is an enticing one for Lennon.
Forrest's goal and assist numbers are difficult for any side to replace and he's often been the difference in tight fixtures down the years.
He can't help Celtic's quest for history right this minute but don't bet against the 29-year-old having a say before season's end.
