Celtic rising star Karamoko Dembele receives surprise seal of approval from Barcelona ace

Karamoko Dembele could be set for a breakthrough season at Parkhead after scoring against Hibs.

Celtic finished their pre-season with a 3-1 win over the Edinburgh club as they prepare for their Premiership opener against Hamilton on Sunday.

And it was a promising afternoon for Neil Lennon's men as Leigh Griffiths returned to action with two assists, a brace for Patryk Klimala and a goal for rising star Dembele.

The youngster is tipped to reach the very top, but hasn't forced his way into Lennon's side yet.

But it's surely only a matter of time and he has some high profile names around the world of football rooting for him, including Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann.

Dembele reacted to Monday's victory on Instagram, saying: "Good to end pre-season with a win and a goal."

And the World Cup Winner responded to the youngster's post as the pair enjoyed a back and forth on social media.

Lennon was delighted with Dembele's contribution against Hibs and revealed he would be training with the first team for the upcoming campaign.

He said: “We want Karamoko around the first-team squad this season. It’s that time now when he is going to be training with us all the time.

“He may dip in and out and we just need to be careful with him as he’s still only 17. I was delighted with what I saw from. He scored and helped assist the second.
