Celtic reveal player of the year candidates as two new signings in the running for gong

Celtic have named their candidates for the club's player of the season, with two new signings included among the nominees.

Football has been halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, meaning the Premiership is still eight games from concluding.

There's also the matter of the Scottish Cup semi-finals and final, with Celtic due to take on Aberdeen.

However, Neil Lennon 's side have already secured one domestic trophy this season in the shape of the Betfred Cup, and with a 13 point lead in the Premiership the club has named its nominees for the player of the year award.

New signings Jeremie Frimpong and Christopher Jullien are both on the shortlist, which will be voted for by fans.

Callum McGregor is looking to win the award for a second year in a row, while loanee Fraser Forster is also nominated for his heroics against Rangers and Lazio.
