Celtic reportedly target Nottingham Forest's former head of scouting

Celtic reportedly want former Nottingham Forest scout Tommy Johnson to return to Parkhead as Neil Lennon revamps his recruitment staff.

Johnson was previously the Reds' head of scouting. He had moved to the City Ground in April and was appointed by former boss Martin O'Neill, who has since been sacked and replaced by current incumbent Sabri Lamouchi.

The Scottish Daily Mail report that the Bhoys are keen to tempt Johnson, who spent four years in Glasgow following his arrival from Aston Villa in 1997, back to Scotland following Lee Congerton's departure for Leicester City earlier this year.

Congerton left Celtic to follow Brendan Rodgers to City, who replaced the sacked Claude Puel at the King Power Stadium, quitting Parkhead in the process.

Nicky Hammond is currently in situ as a temporary replacement for Congerton, but it is said Celtic want their old striker, once on the books of the Reds' neighbours Notts County, back.
