Celtic ready to launch season ticket drive with £2.5million fan giveaway

Celtic are ready to begin their season ticket push with a £2.5million giveaway for fans.

The Parkhead club have frozen prices for the new campaign and will include a £50 retail voucher for all supporters.

The Daily Record report season books will include upcoming Champions League qualifiers and pre-season friendlies against West Ham United and Preston North End.

There will also be broadcasts from the club's pre-season training camp in Wales, set to include bounce games against Bristol City and Charlton Athletic.

Celtic fans are still reeling from the collapse of their 10 In A Row dream but there's hope the seemingly imminent arrival of Eddie Howe as new manager will pull punters back in.

As with all SPFL clubs, uncertainty surrounds the form the season tickets will take.

Up to 500 fans are permitted to attend outdoor sporting events under the Level 2 restrictions currently in place in much of Scotland.

Glasgow remains under tighter Level 3 controls but it's hoped the continuing vaccination programme will allow the country - and thus football - to return to normality over the summer.
