Celtic have released a statement after the sad passing of Diogo Jota.
The 28-year-old lost his life in a road traffic accident in Spain this morning alongside his brother, Andre.
Celtic have since addressed his tragic death: "Everyone at Celtic Football Club sends our deepest condolences to Diogo Jota’s family and friends, following the tragic passing of Diogo and his brother," a statement read.
"Our thoughts are also with his colleagues at Liverpool Football Club during this incredibly difficult time."

Jota won the English Premier League title with Liverpool last season, scoring nine goals across the campaign.
Liverpool released a statement on his death this morning. It read: "Liverpool Football Club are devastated by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota.
"The club have been informed the 28-year-old has passed away following a road traffic accident in Spain along with his brother, Andre.
"Liverpool FC will be making no further comment at this time and request the privacy of Diogo and Andre’s family, friends, teammates and club staff is respected as they try to come to terms with an unimaginable loss.
"We will continue to provide them with our full support."
