Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Motherwell Europa League potential opponents revealed

Aberdeen face an extremely difficult third round qualifier if they beat Viking Stavanger in the next round.

The Dons have arguably been handed the toughest group pairings for the four Premiership sides who go into the hat for the third round draw on Tuesday.

Derek McInnes men will hope for either Budapest Honved of Hungary or Malmo of Sweden rather than the more difficult opposition of Portuguese giants Sporting Club or Eredivisie outfit PSV.

Celtic have dropped into the Europa League and there are six teams they could go up against in the third qualifying round. They'll face either the winners of KuPS vs Slovan Bratislava, Riga vs Tre Fiori or Sileks or Drita.

Neil Lennon's men will be hoping for another home tie after two games at Celtic Park during the Champions League qualifiers before crashing out.

Rangers could potentially face a reunion against Progres Niederkorn, although it's unlikely they'll take on their old foes with the Luxembourg outfit up against Dutch side Willem II.

The other set of teams in the grouping with Rangers are Bosnian side Borac Banja Luka or Rio Ave, or the winners of Hammarby or Lech Poznan.

Motherwell are also in the hat for Tuesday's draw and have four potentially difficult games on the cards. Romanian giants FCSB or Backa Topoloa of Serbia could be one, or the winners of Osijek vs Basel, Albanian side Lac or Israeli side Hapoel Beer-Sheva or IFK Goteborg vs Copenhagen.
