Celtic prodigy Karamoko Dembele delivers Scotland blow as he makes England declaration

Karamoko Dembele has delivered a worrying blow to Scotland over his international future.

The Celtic youngster - who has turned out for England and Scotland at youth level - took to social media to make his allegiance to the Three Lions for next season.

That doesn't mean the 16-year-old made a final decision on his national service.

But after he was given the captain's armband for England Under 16s' thumping 5-0 win over Ivory Coast this month, he appears to be loving life at St George's.

Dembele posted a pic of him leading the young England team out on Instagram on Wednesday with the caption: "Looking forward to next season with the boys ENG16."

Dembele was born in London but has been brought up north of the border and schooled in Glasgow.

He has represented Scotland at U16 and U17 level and has said previously he will take time to decide where his long term international future lies.

Dembele is expected to line up for Celtic U18s on Thursday in the Youth Cup Final against Rangers at Hampden.
