Celtic predicted line-up vs Aberdeen as Neil Lennon faces Scott Brown dilemma

Neil Lennon has plenty of tough decisions to make for the trip to Pittodrie on Sunday.

Celtic are looking to get back to winning ways against Aberdeen after disappointing defeats to Rangers and Milan.

But a second half revival against the Serie A side with a change of formation will have given the Parkhead boss some hope for the Dons clash.

Will he use his favoured 3-5-2 set-up once again or adopt the 4-3-3 formation that was a vast improvement for the last 45 minutes against the Italians.

Lennon has almost the same squad at his disposal as Odsonne Edouard, Hatem Abd Elhamed, Nir Bitton, James Forrest and Christopher Jullien remain on the sidelines.

Tactics are one thing, but personnel is another area that is up for debate.

Ryan Christie will be available from the start after his period of self isolation and Mohamed Elyounoussi and Tom Rogic impressed off the bench against Milan.

Something also clicked for Olivier Ntcham as Scott Brown was substituted as the Frenchman looked more comfortable and effective in a deeper role.

There's no doubt the skipper still has plenty to offer, but with Edouard and Forrest out at the moment, Celtic need to get attacking returns from elsewhere.

Leaving Brown out for the time being will allow Ntcham to thrive in his best position and could be the answer to Celtic's recent problems at the top end of the pitch.

Shane Duffy also looked completely looked out of sorts in a three at the back so Celtic's change to a 4-3-3 seems a straightforward decision.

Kris Ajer, who was brilliant midweek, can partner Duffy in defence, with Diego Laxalt and Jeremie Frimpong on either side of the pair.

A midfield of Callum McGregor, Ntcham and Rogic in an advanced role with a front three of Christie, Elyounoussi and Albian Ajeti.

Celtic XI : Barkas, Laxalt, Ajer, Duffy, Frimpong, Ntcham, McGregor, Rogic, Christie, Elyounoussi, Ajeti.
